    2024 Distinguished Writers Series

    IWW is honored to feature Booker Prize winner Yann Martel for our 2024 Distinguished Writers Series from 21 to 22 October 2024.

    Mr. Martel is the celebrated author of several novels and short story collections, most notably 𝐿𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑃𝑖, an international bestseller published in over 50 languages and adapted to the silver screen by Ang Lee. He will join us at a Literary Reading & Conversation and lead a Masterclass for HKBU students.

    2024 IWW Literary Festival

    We are excited to host our annual Literary Festival from 11-13 March 2024 showcasing our 2024 Writers-in-Residence and Special Guests in celebration of the IWW’s 20th anniversary. This year’s theme “Origins and Futures” explores the evolution of the IWW and its future directions, including the role of emerging technologies in the literary arts.

    The International Writers’ Workshop at HKBU is delighted to announce four talented writers as our IWW Writers-in-Residence in 2024! Selected from a highly competitive pool of more than 200 applicants, these four writers will join us from 26 February to 24 March 2024:
